Fly, about an hour

The simplest way, and the one most guests take.

1. Air Panama flies from Albrook in Panama City to Isla Colón several times a day. The flight is roughly an hour.
2. Fares have run somewhere around 130 to 250 dollars one way depending on season and how early you book.
3. You land on the island itself, not on the mainland. The guesthouse is a short walk from the airstrip.

If you are flying in from abroad, note that Albrook is the small domestic airport in the city, not Tocumen international. Allow real time to cross between them.

Overnight bus, then a water taxi

Slow, cheap, and a lot of people's favourite way to arrive.

1. The night bus leaves Albrook bus terminal around 7pm and reaches Almirante around 5am. Tickets have been about 30 to 35 dollars and are bought in person at the terminal.
2. From the bus, a taxi to the water taxi dock is a couple of dollars.
3. The water taxi across to Bocas Town takes about half an hour and has been around 6 dollars.

You will arrive early in the morning. Message us before you travel and we will do what we can about an early room.

Ferry, if you are bringing a car

Only worth it if you need the vehicle on the island.

1. The ferry runs between Almirante and Bocas del Toro, Tuesday to Sunday.
2. Sailings have been leaving Almirante in the morning and returning from Bocas in the afternoon.
3. It carries vehicles, which none of the other options do.
