Two small places, run by the people who own them.
Pineapple House is a six room guesthouse on Isla Colón in Bocas del Toro. Casco View is a one bedroom apartment in Panama City. Between them they hold seven rooms, which is small enough that someone knows your name by the second morning.

What we actually do.
Most rentals hand you a code and disappear. We do the opposite, because it turns out to be the only thing guests write about afterwards.
Mabel runs both places. She is based in Bocas, where she meets you at the gate and walks you through the house, books your tours, arranges the boats, sends your laundry out, swaps your towels partway through a longer stay, and tells you which restaurant is worth the walk. If your flight lands at dawn we try to get you into a room early rather than leaving you on the step until three.
In Panama City the apartment is yours alone, but it is the same person behind it and the same number that answers. We have hosted for 4 years across 93 reviews and an average of 4.85, and we reply within an hour.
We speak English and Spanish, which matters more than it sounds like it should when something goes wrong at ten at night.

Come and see which one suits you.
The guesthouse if you want a garden, a quiet street and people around. The apartment if you want a front door of your own and a rooftop pool.
