Timber tables and yellow chairs beside the planted courtyard

Mabel is here

Someone meets you at the door, sorts your tours, and refreshes your towels halfway through the week. It is the thing guests write about most.

A real garden

Ferns, palms and a covered timber lounge. Most guesthouses in town give you a corridor. This one gives you somewhere to sit.

Five minutes to Main Street

Walk to the restaurants, bars and the boat docks. Then walk back to a street with no noise on it.

The rooms and the rest of it.

Things worth knowing first.

How close is the airport, and will I hear it?

The airport is a short walk away, which is why guests with early flights like staying here. Flights run in daylight hours only, roughly 8am to 6pm, so nights are quiet. If you are a light sleeper during the day, this is worth knowing before you book.

Is there a kitchen?

There is a shared kitchenette, not a full kitchen. Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, with tea, coffee and drinking water provided. There is no gas stove, so plan on breakfast and storage rather than cooking dinner.

Are the rooms different from each other?

No. All six rooms have the same layout: one queen bed, a private en suite bathroom, air conditioning, a fan and WiFi. You are not choosing between rooms, you are choosing your dates.

How does check in work?

In person. Mabel meets you, walks you through the house and tells you where to eat. If your flight lands early we will do our best to get you in early.
